Why So, Our Dear Youths?

If I don't point my finger to the core of Systems, the trend now, the juggernaut of marketable culture, the superiority to be emulated for, the exaggeration in varieties and needs but not in self-mirroring or self-critique, how can I just point to the trends of vogues and fads, notwithstanding being a luring fillip, for my sadly finding so many well-donned, pro-vogue, complexion-brightened youths so dumb, insecure, with stony yet nervous countenances? Don't they read their past greatness marked by inner-beauty, not like what those in Vanity Fair strive for? If we don't need calmness and inner firmness, then why we dabble in wishing for it or blindly exaggerating on it? Some say 'time is bad', but I think we are bad, our way of pursuing life's meaning. And now in India, as beloved parents' concern for their children, especially young daughters away from them, there is this haunting trepidation saying 'custom runs bad these days'. And this 'custom' is for me the same thing what I am hinting at. What is there after so many political, cultural and economic revolutions that had rather blotted out than rigging up and trying to understand through seeing--after venting at and destroying like Four Olds during Cultural Revolution in Tibet and China? Why? And here I say the West in novels is much better; the need of distance is indispensable for being able to appreciate so far.
