Following our parliament in exile's ongoing sessions and trying to feel its fever, but being within the limit of what is known as 'disinterested' coloration and participation, like what V.S. Naipaul, the great writer, an Indian by origin, writes that being familiar with a small drama leads to the understanding of great, complex drama, like the understanding of every complex formation through being familiar with a microcosmic entity first, I happen to come to get more of the developed country where I live as a guest, or say of every governance and its system at large. Then why not of a small, tucked away country below the 'developing' line; then why not of that is more or less of the relationship between a serf and a squire.

A Tibetan by origin
A Tibetan by origin, like those from the Himalayan regions at large who speak Tibetan and share the same mores related with Tibetan Buddhism, is the product of our forebears, the great empire and emperors' legacy that we should be able to keep as ours, not as someone adventitious. Being in the West, you might have come across how much even a developed nation, why not a 'super power' (the funny phrase), vies for incapsulating everything and everyone into their own intramural tropes and motifs, namely their ways of living, presenting as off the stale taste of yesterday's feast, can you feel it so yet?

Happy Losar 2148, Year of the Iron Ox!
The beauty of diversity lies not so much in its difference as in its linchpin, nothing other than it after all, that holds and disports its iridescent resplendence, like an arras of a tapestry whose beauty lies not so much in its multicolored threads as in its central wefts that hold them and give a space for each trope of a motif to stand out in its own way. Happy Losar 2148, Year of the Iron Ox!

A good idea
American embassy in Lhasa, a great idea. I want to hear Lhasians mingling their mellifluous lilts of Lhasa dialect into American, the best of the best for letting the other get what you want to express, the fast-food of what a language is all about for a plebeian, like myself. And, yes, as communally and convivially engaged and organized as Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School (SHS) Band, such a demo-oriented participation in appreciating the hardworking students taken to the streets for the people, like calling them out to breathe fresher air rather than holing up inside--come on Lhasians, come out and take to the streets so!

A repost of one of my facebook posts
*
My comment on this post on facebook back on 06 April, 2015. (Edited)
'The unity of experience', 'the illusion of pain' are, for me, like the interplay between sadism and masochism, the former begetting the later desperation standing on two different rawness defined by endless self-interest. The illusion, however backed by some sentimental or spiritual ground at last, is as variably risky as the interpretation of a presented idea of any. It's up to if the aggregated experience is workable, though desperate, through one last crash course for some sounder illumination or not, and for which, I think, the need of paramount importance is a workable ground of philosophical enlightenment which is itself heuristic, ever learning, adjustable and thereby robust ever.
